[Sarah Andrews-Cross]

Sarah's mind wanders as she makes her way to the cafeteria to meet with a very special person whom she hadn't spoken with in quite a while. At least not on good terms anyway. Though she was suspicious when the request to meet her there was sent, she thought that if she was in that person's position and she was genuine about wanting a civil meeting, then she'd want the same common courtesy given out. So against her better judgment, and without informing Jason of the meeting, she finally arrives in the cafeteria.

Her palms are sweating and she fidgets with her hands over and over as she's nervous for the meeting and what it could possibly mean between her and her scheduled meeting partner this morning. After a few minutes of searching through a packed cafeteria, she finally spots them seated towards the back of the dining area and begins making her way to the table they sat at.

The entire way there, she silently hopes and prays that the person really wants the same thing she does between the two of them. Reconciliation. Peace. Compassion and understanding. Finally she had arrived at the table. Standing face to face with them, as they slowly rose from their seat with a smile across their face which forced her face to form one of her own. Then...

[King Vegas]

Are the only words spoken by the older brother of Mrs. Sarah Andrews-Cross. Indeed this was a most unexpected event with the two estranged siblings meeting face to face on neutral and also peaceful grounds and terms. The two of them stand across from each other...Sights locked intensely on the other. Sarah more so than her brother Cross...It had been a most tumultuous few months for Sarah and Cross knew he was the cause for most of it. But he had requested her presence here, to open a forum of sorts between himself and his only sister. For what reason neither of them really knew. But they were both here now and as the young King Vegas slowly stepped in the general direction of his sister...Arms wide awaiting some sign of peaceful intentions from her...She initially and understandably retreats a few steps.

King Vegas maintains his position...Arms remaining open in a welcoming manner. Until seconds later, Sarah takes that chance...Stepping forward...Embracing her brother fully, as they stand a few feet from their table in a room shocking hug from the looks they receive because of their actions. Upon their release, both of their faces clearly show traces of smiles as King Vegas then motions for his sister to take her seat before him. As she does she chimes in with...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Well...That was interesting...Umm...Not that I'm not...Happy?...About...You asking to meet me here in a non violent and peaceful manner but...I have to know Cross...[/shadow]

She pauses as she can feel the eyes of every person present in the cafeteria locked on her and her estranged sibling. After a brief survey of just how much attention they were attracting she turns back to him, noticing his smirk as she comments...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Why?...I mean...With all the things that have transpired over the past few months between us...Between you and Jason...What made you...You know...Call for...Peace I guess is the right word?...[/shadow]

[King Vegas]

The smirk on his face remains for a few more moments as he cocks his head to the side...Nonchalantly glancing away from her direct vision as if observing the spectators himself. When he brings his sight back around to face her, the smirk has vanished and he replies...

[glow=red,2,300]I wouldn't say...That I'm calling for "peace" so to speak sister. I merely wished for an open forum with my only living sibling. That is all...[/glow]

His eyes meet her in an intense exchange as he allows for his initial statement to set in a bit before continuing...

[glow=red,2,300]Your husband and I will probably NEVER see eye to eye on any subject Sarah. It's almost inevitable that we'll always hold some form of hatred or dislike for one another. That? I can do nothing about. The events of the past cannot be altered regardless of how much one wishes for such things...Regretful yes but true nonetheless. What is, will most likely always be Sarah. But that's not why I asked you to meet me here this morning. Not to speak about the past events between the three of us.[/glow]

Sarah then sits back in her chair, folding her arms across her body observing the man sitting across from her awaiting a response.

King Vegas chuckles a bit at the question posed by his sister a few seconds ago. As his laughter slowly subsides, he chimes in with...

He stares in her eyes directly as he leans forward, his elbows firmly placed on the table as he comments...

Sarah cocks her head to the side this time, waiting a few seconds as she rolls her eyes for a few moments and then commenting sarcastically...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Umm...Concerning the events of the past few months?...Yeah Cross. It's too much to ask. I have no reason to believe anything you say.

Like you said before, you taught me. And I'll give you that much, because all that you taught me during our childhood pretty much ensured my survival. I thank you for that but it doesn't mean I'll let you sit here and manipulate and coerce me into a bad or fatal decision...For myself and especially Jason.

Because Cross...I don't plan on seeing him hurt again. And if I do whoever is responsible will be dealt with accordingly. Including you...[/shadow]

The young King Vegas raises an eyebrow...A trace of a smirk on his face as he lightly puts his hands together, simulating an applause after his sisters proclaimation of her assurance that her beau would not face any more harm by his hands or any other. As much as he hated the thought of them being together, he had to admit that their bond was stronger than anything he had seen her encounter before...

[glow=red,2,300]I applaud that Sarah. I truly do. If you feel that strongly about the man and your union with him? You SHOULD feel such a way. But I have no plans of going after Jason again my sister. No. Even though I know you don't wish to believe my claim of wanting to spend this small amount of time with my lovely sister, it is however the truth. Perhaps a little conversation? A little reminiscing here and there? Possibilities Sarah...Possibilities...[/glow]

This was an extremely odd moment for Sarah. As much as she wanted his words to be genuine and full of truth, she couldn't help but think back to some of the things she'd seen her own brother put her and the man she loved through. Not to mention any other individual he considered an enemy.

She took a few moments to glare in his direction. Observing his body language and his demeanor after his unexpected suggestion. Was he genuinely just wanting for interaction with his only sibling? Or was this another plot to get under her and Jason's skin in a seemingly never ending war? She couldn't place the truth of the matter so she simply nodded her head as if rejecting as she replied in a low voice.

Regardless of how much I obviously DON'T deserve such a thing...I can see by your reaction that you are quite confused at the situation here. I mean Sarah are we not brother and sister? Have we not a past between us? Wasn't at least the majority of it a good past at that?...[/glow]

Sarah remains with her arms crossed as a look of doubt continues to remain on her face as she speaks....

King Vegas chuckles slightly at her last remark. Although knowing she had every right NOT to trust him or his words. He continues on...


[glow=red,2,300]All I'm saying is this...With our both of our parents not being around anymore, there's no reason why we shouldn't have some sort of functioning relationship...At least be civil to each other anyway. Now is that too much to ask for really?...

Now Sarah was beginning to become very doubtful over her brother's words. Considering the things he had done to her and her husband over the past few months, the altimatums given in threatening matters and the assaults dished out...She didn't know whether or not to believe the words coming out of his mouth. Or whether this was all another ploy to seperate them once and for all. Deep down inside there is a small piece of her that prays that his words and requests are genuine as she speaks...

King Vegas begins slowly tapping the tips of his fingers along the table they occupied. Methodically and seemingly pondering something before speaking...

Not downplaying that at all but...We were brother and sister way before he came along am I correct?...Then I see no reason why he shouldn't accept that we've moved past the things that have transpired over the past few months...

I just merely wish for some civil interaction with my sister is all Sarah. Nothing more and nothing less. I mean, I did however play a major part in you becoming the woman you are today no?...Ha Ha...And quite the woman you've become I must admit...I must admit...I can honestly say that I am proud. And you of all people know that I don't say or feel that about anyone too often...[/glow]

Sarah's face slowly forms a smile on it hearing the words of admiration from her older brother. He was right though. He had basically raised her to the woman she was. Taught her everything she knew pretty much. Began her training. Took her in when she had no where else to go. Countless things she had never taken the time to think about nor thank him for. And he never asked for either.

It was a strange feeling she was feeling. She knew the damage he was capable of. The slight pain still in the ribcage area of her abdomen and that of her beau's was still lingering a bit actually. So there was no doubt he was as potent and dangerous as he proclaimed. But this felt different. It FELT genuine. It felt real. So once again against her better judgment she chose to at least hear him out. For now.

So...We'd be foolish not to at least TRY to have SOMe sort of relationshipt I guess...I'm just so shocked y'know...What brought this on? A smile comes to Sarah's face as she notices that same look in her brother's eyes she was so used to seeing so many years ago. It was something familiar but foreign at the same time. It was something most would have called...Happiness? Something she hadn't seen in his eyes in quite a long time. Seeing that look in his eyes and facial features brought the same to her face as she looked on. Then in a giant step in terms of their recent relationship problems, she slowly inches her hand across the table, reaching for her brother's hand. Within seconds she has it and as she glances back up to his face she notices that the smile was still present on his face as well as hers. It's all she can do to contain her laughter and giddiness over the situation. He nods his head for a moment, then as he chimes in...

Sarah goes to reach for her cell phone in her purse but her hand is stopped in the middle of the attempt by her older brother. As he releases her arm he comments...

[glow=red,2,300]Give it some time Sarah. It's too soon for him. Just calm down a bit. You should wait as long as you can stand to from what I see. Like I said, I don't know how things will be between he and I so...It might not be a such a great idea to tell him about...This...Right now...

He raises an eyebrow at his younger sister as if asking if she agreed. Her facial expression confirmed that she did in fact. A smile comes over his face as he comments...

Then as they continue to sit in the cafe for what should have seemed like hours on end to them, they began backtracking their adolescent years, through they're early adulthood to this point. Speaking on everything and every event transpiring between them, good or bad. Remiscing on the past times with their parents and other family members, friends and enemies alike. It had truly been a most interesting sight for every other person present to see such a thing happening in front of their eyes. Then about a half hour into the conversation, the man known as Cross Genevese quickly cuts his eyes toward the entrance of the cafe located behind Sarah's back. Seeming to notice something, he chimes in with...

[glow=red,2,300]Hey baby sis'. Your big brother's gotta take care of something in the gentlemen's room really quick. I'll be right back. Sit tight...[/glow]

With that he hops up from the table, making his way toward the exit of the cafeteria while Sarah remains at the table still extremely surprised at today's happenings and still giddy over the whole thing. She sits there for a few more minutes until...

How's it goin' Sarah?

Ferrari arrives at the table Sarah and her brother sat at for the better part of an hour conversing and the shock on her face is so blatant she almost drops her cup of coffee at the sight of the man that had proclaimed his love for her. The initial feeling of shock forces her to quickly look around the cafe area. Not to see who was watching but to hopefully catch sight of her brother in case things got out of hand. He continues on.


I see Jason isn't with you now. That means we can talk about some things then. Mind if I sit?

Before getting an answer, he takes the same spot that her brother sat in no more than 10 minutes ago. She then speaks saying...

I just was focused on other things besides a relationship. You were too remember? I don't think you should be this close to me in such a place as this.
