Ok, so I was thinking...What if each show had a rating? Determined solely on match quality, match build ups, and the superstars in the match. What I mean is, each match receives an idividual rating on a scale from 1-5 (Determined by an unbiase source of course, most likely the match simmer )...Then all matches rating are added together and divided by the amount of matches there are...
This way, you can compare each week and see how the shows are progressing. And, each wrestler can see there individual match rating and see how it was...Because I personally dont watch all matches, but would like to know how my match stacked up against others....And everyone loves to be a part of the highest rated match (Match of the night) and this would be a good way to showcase it...
Now, things that would effect the rating...Would be like (i'll use mine and Cross's match as an example) All the reversals would bring its rating down some. (Bcuz it would bore the fans) The lack of build up for it would bring it down some. The fact that it was the rubber match between them would bring it up. How close it was at the end would bring the rating up...And that highflying move that Cross did would bring it up....
So, we'll give it a rating...of, oh....4.3...
then lets say theres four other matches rated.....3.8, 2.6, 4.9, and a perfect 5....( now here comes the use for a calculator )
So add that up...(you get 20.6) and divide by the number of matches....and you get...4.12
This show rating would have been a 4.12...Not too damn bad.....Now, you can compare this to next weeks show and see how the company is progressing....
Of course, these ratings could be used for other things too...And if there is ever a brand split down the line then you could use it to see which show is doing better...
Anyways, idk...Its late...just thought of this....thought it sounded cool...Wish I could explain it a bit better...but w/e....any thoughts on it?
