In seeing two particular matches, Jasta v. Cross & Jones v. Xavier, I think it's safe to say a change is needed with super heavies. I've went back and looked at the older vids to confirm something, and my finding is kinda disturbing.
Aside from Dru Nedermeyer, None of APW's big men have "reduced" movesets. I have Kaoz's full power Dru on my game, and I understand why he opted to bring a weaker version to APW. The original is simply to powerful. However, the rest of APW's big men DIDN'T use that logic. And in that there's NO way any of the smaller wrestlers can reall beat any of them. I assume that Big men get more power and durabilty, which are two of the key attributes that factor into simmed matches. In terms of sheer numbers, a heavy will lose to a super 8 out of 10 times unless the numbers are balanced out.
Now what I'm suggesting is NOT to drop there numbers, just the number of power moves they use, Dave Batista doesn't use nothing but high impact moves, neither does Kane. Nor did Lesnar. In fact there was NO big man who had a moveset full of nothing but big moves. It's called realism. Dru reduced his moveset to be realistic, but the other big men haven't (Cabal used 2 different versions of the same powerbomb versus Jones, If that's not overkill, I don't know what is). What propose is the number "2". Two high impact moves per grapple. And NO repeats of the same move. You don't need two powerbombs, back breakers, or neckbreakers. Chance are I'm just pissing in the wind, and nothings going to be done. But let's be honest. Cabal and Jason haven't lost one on one, and I know my caw Jasta is built for simulation matches. We all saw it. Had Cross been a heavyweight, Jasta would have won the match in 8, as apposed to losing in 10.
