My suggestion goes for the avatars. Maybe the picture for the avatars can be taken during season mode. That way, instead of having casual clothes with a stage for the background. It would be better if it had the backstage as a background. Easiest route to go would be the SmackDown storyline that has the first cutscene as a backstage confrontation. Just a thought. It would make the avatars make more sense in my opinion.

That idea has some positive and some negative....
Negative: would take a lot of time, female caws would pose and stand like male caws...
Positive: Would look cool and be different.
But I am open for suggestion and will try your idea out

That is kind of bad for the female CAWs. Didn't think of that. Maybe try to get close ups or face shots of them. Or try to catch them not walking like a man. It could work if the pictures come out good. ;D

Hmmm, do any of the arenas have a fairly plain background for the stage? Might be worth having a look through them to see if any of them look like a backstage area?

The only stage that looks anything like a backstage or something else is ECW. But even that still has the curtain there with the bricks. And the picture for a background could work if the poses work well with it.

Surely each character would have to have a unique background image though, that reflects their character's lifestyle in some way? For example, my character will be spending the off season in prison, so a background image of a prison cell would be suitable. Perhaps people could supply a background image when they submit their CAW edits? EDIT: My background image would be something like this.  |

That could work. But the poses during an entrance wouldn't look right. Maybe the pose during the "versus" screen just before you start the match could work if the pose fits the character. Also with an arena screen that shows a lot of the CAW too.
