Sapphire entered the Tower View lounge and restaurant and found a small table for two in one of the corners. She removed her cell phone from her jacket pocket and dialed the number of one Jason Cross. As she waited for him to pick up his phone she set her brief case on the table in front of her and opened it with her free hand removing one of the ever present files inside she looked it over while waiting to see if she would receive an answer from Mr. Cross himself or have to leave him a message.

The phone just about switches over to the answering machine before Jason picks it up Hello Jason Cross speaking?

A slight smile as she hears the voice on the other end of the phone.
Ah Mr.Cross I was hoping that I would get you instead of an answering machine. My name is Sapphire Summers and I'm the newest manager to be hired here at APW I was wondering if you had some time to discuss your future and what you would like to see accomplished with it. I'm at the Tower View lounge if you do have the time to talk?

Jason shakes his head as he hears the woman's voice on the other end of the phone. I'm afraid you must have been misinformed Mrs. Summers. You see I already have a manager, so I'm not really sure what you would need to talk to me about my future for.

Oh I understand that you have acquired the managerial services of one Christina Davis, but tell me do you think she is doing a good job Mr. Cross? Is she keeping on top of things business wise so that you can keep your focus on matters where it should be in the ring. Don't answer me now, come down here talk to me and then decide for yourself if your interests would be better served by Mrs. Davis or myself.
Sapphire smiled as she finished speaking. She knew he would come the possibility that she might be speaking the truth would be enough to draw him here to listen to what she had to say. From there it was simply a matter of choosing the right words to convince him that she was indeed the better choice.

The sigh Jason let out probably brought a smile to Mrs. Summers face when she heard it. Okay I'll come listen to what you have to say but I'm not making any promises Mrs.Summers, only saying that I'll listen. I can be there in about twenty minutes is that soon enough?

And smile she did as she heard that sigh, she knew it meant she had him hooked all she had to do now was reel him in and she would have her first client.
Twenty minutes sounds fine Jason I'll be waiting for your arrival, until then.
Sapphire hung up the phone then and ordered herself a glass of water and a small salad to pass the time. Almost twenty minutes later she saw Jason Cross enter the lounge he was quite difficult to miss due to his large size. She stood up as he approached the table and offered her hand.
Nice to met you face to face sir please sit down and we can discuss just how I may be better able to serve your business needs.

Jason shook the offered hand and then waited until Sapphire had seated herself to sit down. Well I suppose you could start by telling me what it is you think you can do to help me, what is it that makes you so much more qualified to be my manager than Christina?

Sapphire took a sip of her water before speaking.
Well let me answer your question by asking you one Mr. Cross. Have you heard from Mrs. Davis lately is she keeping you up to date on things, or are you sitting in the dark wondering whether or not your business is being taken care of. I can assure you were, you a client of mine you wouldn't be wondering I would most definitely be keeping you apprised of things especially considering the potential for growth your career has at such an early stage.

Jason listened to her words taking a moment to think things through before speaking. Well I haven't heard from her in a short time but I have her working on something for me, and I figure that should be keeping her fairly busy. You say my career has a lot of potential for growth at this point how so?

Sapphire's curiosity was peeked at the first part of Jason's statement but she decided to focus on his question instead.
Well it really is quite easy to see all the opportunities present for one such as yourself Mr. Cross. You were in the match to decide the first APW champion which in itself shows that the people running things here in APW have a lot of confidence in your ability to carry such a title and represent APW as a whole. Now off the fact that you were in that match alone it shows that you have the physical ability to succeed but it is painfully obvious that you need someone to help secure opportunities for you that you might otherwise miss due to the fact that you have to keep your focus on the ring and not on the business side of things.
Sapphire paused and took a drink from her water letting what she had just said to Jason sink in before continuing. Now she would address the information that she had been given by one of the serving staff that she tipped for such tidbits that they might think useful to her.
Would it surprise you to learn Mr. Cross that the contract Mrs. Davis was supposed to obtain for you has in fact been denied to her.
She saw the look of surprise on his face and raised a hand to silence any questions before they came.
I'll make this easy Mr. Cross give me the chance to get that contract for you, and show that I can be very effective at what I do. Then after you have what you want you'll see that I'm the obvious choice when it comes to someone to look after your business needs.
She waited on a final reply from Mr. Cross

Jason obviously upset by the news that he hadn't got the match he wanted signed for the ppv, and even less impressed that the news came from someone other than Christina speaks up. To be honest at this point my patience with managers is wearing thin, but I'll give you the chance you ask for Mr. Summers. I assume you know how to get a hold of me if you do manage this. Unless you need anything else from me I think we can consider business concluded for now.

Sapphire rose from her seat at the same time as Jason did reaching out and shaking his hand before speaking.
It has been a pleasure to talk to you Mr. Cross, and I thank-you for this chance you have given me I shall do my best to see to it that it is not wasted, and be in touch as soon as I get you that contract.
She watched Jason leave then, the wheels already turning in her head as to what her next step would be in securing this her first client. She took her cell phone from her jacket pocket dialing a number and waiting for an answer on the other end now things would indeed get interesting.
