Jennifer Drew had long been a fan of taking an elevator to the nearest source of food and after she had taken care of all her business, it felt like another one of those days. She laid claim to her usual table by the window and stared off into nowhere in particular processing everything that was expected of her. She had now held and defended her title longer than her previous reign and had taken on anyone and everyone who came at her. So, what was there to do but just enjoy the ride for a little while longer she thought as she sat and swirled her water around, when...

With a name like "Mildred Winkenwerder," you could only assume why Scarlett decided to take on a stage name for her wrestling career. Hailing from Tyler, Texas, the so-called "Rose Capital of the America," Scarlett was in a completely different element coming to Canada. With so many different companies to choose from, from the company in New York, to the company in Chicago, she decided to came to the one in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for one sole reason, to claim victory, and become the next Rose Champion; to exemplify what it truly is to be a "rose." The sole definition of the word. Of course, there was one person she was keeping tabs on. One person she felt didn't exactly deserve that belt wrapped around her waist. Her name? Well, it wouldn't matter much, as it would soon be forgotten. Ha, ha, ha.
Wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, with a simple black t-shirt, Scarlett made her way into tower restaurant; not to eat, but to get a feel for the place. This was a new environment, she had to get used to the place if she were to call it home for the next year or so. Looking around the place, seeing if she recognized anyone, her eyes got attracted to a pink head of hair. Smirking, "No, it couldn't be," she decided to get a closer look, placing her sunglasses on her her forehead as she did this. "Well, well, well, I suppose I'll have to put on a friendly face." She thinks to herself, as she decided to introduce herself.
Taking on the role of a ditsy blonde, she purposely made herself bump into Jennifer's table. "Oh, I'm sorry, I really am. I'm such a klutz. I was just looking for a table, and I'm afraid I must of slipped. Oh gee, I nearly forgot. My name is Barbra, Barbra Cunningham," she claimed in a thick Texas accent; obviously over exaggerating it. "Sorry about the little mishap hun, should I pull the tail of one of the waiters?"

Alright, something she just said was way funnier than it should have been to Jennifer as she covers her mouth in a giggle.
Silly, these waiters have all evolved beyond prehensile tails.
Jennifer stops abruptly with a guilty look on her face.
Well except... sorry I'm not supposed to say.
She waves that thought away and looks back down at the table for a second. Luckily she was holding onto her glass tightly enough to keep it stable during the little bump. Jennifer looked the bumper up and down with a smile. Clearly not from around here, country girl, probably nervous meeting someone from “the television” as she'd probably say, should probably just be cool about this.
Anyhow, don't worry about it there Babs, we have zero spillage over here so it's no big deal. So, are you new here or have I just been living in my own little universe for too long?

"Of course I'm new here darlin'. You don't come across an accent like this just anywhere in Canada." Inviting herself to a seat, she sits down, judging Jennifer's every word. She had the vocabulary, and she had the spunk, exactly as she expected her to be. "Just coming off a little ol' farming community in Smalltown, USA. Figured I would come and check out this place. Sure is tall, this building is. Wonderful view though; gee Chuck would love to take his chickens to see this."

Enthusiastic little devil wasn't she? Jennifer shook a weird look off of her face as she watched the woman sit down across from her. A little company wouldn't hurt, she thought.
That's what I thought. Well, welcome to the big city. Totally different vibe than anywhere back in the good old U.S. Of A but hey, I deal. Take the tour sometime. So, is Chuck a friend of yours, or your husband or something? That'd be interesting, dinner with a farmer's wife here on business to save the old homestead. Stop me if this is getting condescending.

Scarlett was trying her best to hold back a smirk. "Chuck's my fella, yes. He's currently home at the moment, probably complaining about the amount work he has to get done in order to keep the ol' farm house running." Shaking her head, seemingly trying to pass the fact that she has fond memories of such a fellow, she continues, "You're the Jennifer Drew, aren'tcha? My husband loves watching a good rasslin' show every now and then, and he just adores you, being Rose champion and all. Gosh, must be quite a life on the road, how do you ever find time to yourself with all that travelin'?" She just had to keep her talking, keep her talking, find something she could use against her...yes, yes.

Sweet, acceptance in America's heartland. Jennifer just smiled casually and went along with it all.
Nah,it's not too bad. I've been doing this long enough that it's all normal. I find plenty of ways to waste time and generally be unproductive here and there and well it all seems to add up nicely so I can't complain. It's not like getting up at sunrise and doing real manual labor.

Scarlett smirked. When she was done with her, she would feel the pain in the morning. She could count on that. Putting on a fake laugh, Scarlett replies, "Well, if there's one thing I like about Canada, is that it doesn't reek of cow pies every mornin.'" She then gives Jennifer a curious eye, "Speaking of that there title, what are yer plans for it? You seemed to have faced every little thorn on the roster, and yet, none seem to match your standards."

Asking the tough questions, was she? It was just too bad Jennifer didn't have a better answer. She gives a quick shrug then goes with all she has.
Ihaven't really though much about it. Yeah I pretty much faced every one of the Roses and came out on top. Which is really weird if you stop and think about it.
But I think we're out there trying to remind everyone we're still signing. I'd love some stiff competition so I guess I'll just have to wait for that special someone to sweep me off my feet... and then you know try to get on top of me for three seconds.

Scarlett couldn't help herself, she began to slightly laugh in her normal tone of voice before she caught herself, and covered it up with a slight cough. "Well, I'm sure in due time, you'll have yourself a....worthy Rose." She then stood up, and gave Jennifer one last look before deciding it was time for her to go. "Well, I'm afraid I must get back to good ol' Texas. Chuck's probably going bonkers with how long I've been gone." She begins to head towards the door, but with a glint in her eye, looks back at Jennifer, "I'm sure that 'special' someone is closer then you think. Later days darlin'."

Yeah, see ya.
She waves goodbye until Scarlett is out of sight.
Weird.
Shecouldn't quite put her finger on it but she just knew something wasn't right about what just happened. Of course it all seemed plausible enough at the time but something told her this one wasn't exactly what she seemed. “Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Better not dwell on it.” That all nice and rationalized she goes back to switching between her window and her water.
