"It's amazing that you never consider that you'll turn out well when life has been so bad, but we still get problems from time to time that can only be settled by one way. Looking back I have many regrets but then again if I had nothing to regret then I'd also have nothing to show for my existence. You know that had I not took that chance on entering the ring then I wouldn't be standing here talking to you. Who knows I might not have made it at all, I can't say I have ever been shot at but the people I hung around with I think it was just a matter of time"
Lauren looks at Jay, she knows that both have had hard lives. Jay's more than likely was harder, an assumption of hers but Jay didn't seem to have a chip on his shoulder, he acted natural and was himself. Lauren had met others with a similar life and she seemed to think that their's was phony. Lauren smiled at Jay
"Do you want to go get some coffee or something?"

"Yeah. I can't say I have too many regrets. I've had my ups and down. I've had my good times. I've had my bad times. But I can't say I regret much of what has been done in my life. I wouldn't be who I am today without the way I came up."
He nodded.
"As for that coffee...?"
Jay lifted the blunt up to his lips, taking one final drag from it to finish it off. Dropping the butt down on the floor, he stomped down on it. Putting out the firey embers. Moving his foot, he knelt down and grabbed the butt off of the floor. Slipping it into his pocket, he turned to Lauren and nodded his head. Continuing with...
"Yeah. Sure. I could go for some coffee Lauren. Where to?"

"I'm sure I saw a nice little coffee house near the arena, it looks nice and peaceful, who knows it might even sprinkle the little chocolate bits on them"
A little thing like chocolate sprinkles wouldn't impress most people but it did the little lady, Lauren took Jay's hand and lead him toward an exit. It was a fire exit, Lauren wasn't to keen on taking the long way out of the arena so she pushed it and the alarms rang, and she smiled at Jay
"Guess I am still a little bad"

"Hahahaha... That was you all those times? Hahahaha... Nice, nice. Hahahaha..."
Jay couldn't help but laugh as he exited the building through the fire exit with Lauren. Listening to the alarm going off, he just shook his head. Imagining what the people still inside must be thinking right now. Now they had found themselves outside of the APW Arena. Looking over at Lauren.
"How are we going to get to this coffee shop? My car? Your car? Taxi? Or is it within walking distance?"

"Well it's on the other side, hmm, I didn't really think that one through, as for my car after my first car was destroyed by Ashley Raimond in Chicago I vowed never to take my car to an arena, if your car is close by then maybe take it if not I guess we could walk around the arena. Let's move though before somebody sees this door open, not that we could get into serious trouble for it. Star power has to be good for something, eh?"

Looking up to the sky, he began to think.
"Hmm..."
He paused for a moment. A smile crossed Jay's face. He waved for her to follow him as he responded...
"It is a nice night. I say... Let's walk it. You said that it ain't too far. Walking would be nice. Yeah?"
He began to walk slowly, waiting for Lauren to show him the way.

Lauren took Jay's hand gently and began to lead him around the arena, smirking as people left the building wonder where the fire was. Lauren looked at Jay and then she led on, the walk probably took five minutes at the most. Some fans noticed them leaving but they were waiting to enter the arena so they didn't come over to hassle them. Lauren led Jay accross the road and into the coffee shop, once inside Lauren looked around at the menu boards they seemed to have every type of coffee.
"So, what do you fancy?"

Jay's eyes were drawn to the selection that they had. Reading each kind that they had here. What was he in the mood for? A smirk formed on his face as he found something that he figured would be good. Nodding his head, he said...
"I think I'll have a Caramel 'Latte."
He looked over at Lauren.
"What're you going to get?"
He reached into his pocket. Retrieving his wallet. He figured that he could pay for the coffee. It wouldn't be a problem for him.

"Mmm, Caramel that sounds good. But put you wallet away it's my treat"
Lauren said as she motioned for Jay to put his wallet away, before pulling out her purse, and smiling at the attendant.
"Hi can I get two Caramel Lattes please"
The attendant nods and appears to be a little starstruck... he wants to ask a question that much is obvious but he doesn't seem to be able to ask...
"Is there something wrong?"
"Erm, no I was w... w... wondering if I c... c... could get Mr Crack's autograph?"
Lauren smiled she had seen the nervous look before time and time again and turned to Jay

"Alright."
He slipped his wallet back into his pocket. A smirked crossed Jay's lips as it seems that the attendant here at the coffee shop was a fan of his. Got to love the undeniable admiration from the fans. He's had this happen to him plenty of times before. He knew how to handle these situations. The guy seemed nervous, so he wasn't one of those overbearing stalker type of fans who's going to leap over the counter and tackle him. Jay nodded...
"Sure. I can do that. Got something for me to sign?"
Jay began to pat himself down. Looking to see if he had something to write with to sign it with. And... Jay was in luck. He happened to find himself a black permanent marker in his pants pocket. He didn't remember grabbing it, but hell... It's here. He reached into his pocket and pulled the marker out. Awaiting what it is that the fan would like for him to sign...

Lauren liked that Jay had time for the fans, a lot of wrestlers complained about the attention and some were down right rude to fans. Lauren saw it as the fans were the ones paying them without them the industry wouldn't exist. Though she couldn't help feel a little disappointed, Lauren liked attention and she liked when fans asked for her autographs, hugs, and some even dared to ask for a kiss. Lauren tended to oblige to all of these requests even when she portrayed the heel the disappointment on her face was evident despite her trying to hide it

Cashier: "Yeah. I do, actually."
The attendant turned around and knelt down. Jay raised an eyebrow. He found it odd that someone brought wrestling memorablia to their work. Jay figured it must be because the spot is so close to the arena. This guy figured that they expected APW's roster to pop in from time to time. When the attendant stood up, he turned back around and presented Jay with his blue and white "APW Messiah" t-shirt.
Cashier: "Here it is."
"Alright.... Who do I make this out to?"
Cashier: "Troy."
"Okay."
Jay proceeded with the signing. Writing on the t-shirt "To Troy: Keep your head up homie, your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler is saving the wrestling industry one match at a time - your Messiah, Jay Crack." Standing up, he capped his marker and stuffed it in his pocket.
"Here you go."
The attendant took the shirt with a smile and said...
Cashier: "Thank you Mr. Crack."
"Just call me Jay. How about those 'Lattes?"
Cashier: "Oh, crap... Sorry... I'll get right on that."
"It's cool."
He turned his attention back to Lauren as the attendant proceeded to get to work on those caramel 'lattes.

Once the lattes were done, Lauren paid for them and she looked around for a place for them to sit, in the corner there was a couch I nice looking couch really deep. Lauren walked over and sat down in it and she took a sip of her latte as Jay, who wasn't far behind her sat down
"Umm, that's really good"
Lauren smiled as she now had a latte mustach, she seemed unaware of it
"So Jay how did a nice guy like you get involved with the wrestling business?"

"Mmm, that is good."
...Jay said as he tasted his. Turning to Lauren, a smile formed on his face. Leaning back against the couch, he paused for a moment as she asked him about how he got into this business. Nodding his head, he began to answer...
"Well... It was a combination of both my sister's involvement with the business and 187 being involved with this business. I watched them. I saw how much they enjoyed it. I was involved with some real shady business prior to coming into wrestling. I actually owed some people quite a lot of money that I screwed up on my end. And... Let's just say... They don't take an excuse like "I lost it," too kindly. So... I figured that this business was an easy was to score some cash real quick."
He shrugged his shoulders. Pausing for a moment, he took a sip from his 'latte.
"I didn't neccessarily think that I would stay in this to be honest. I thought... I go in, I take some bumps and lumps, and I dust myself off and collect a few checks. Then.. To my surprise... I rather enjoyed my time in the ring. I caught onto the business real quick. And well.. I finely tuned my skills on the microphone and in the ring... And here I stand. Ontop of my game."
Looking back at Lauren, he laughed and lifted his hand up and pointed to his lips.
"You got something..."

"Oh?"
Lauren grabbed a knapkin and wiped her lip
"Thanks, I don't want to look silly now"
Lauren smiled after thinking about Jay's story it was like mosts as they started out, easy money then the love for the sport comes afterward, Lauren was born around wrestling and it wasn't exactly mapped out but she somehow thought it was her destiny to be a wrestler
"My story is a little different, my father was a wrestler and we saw more of the darkside of the business. My parents forbid me to do it at first but me being me totally ignored them and I went ahead and got training in secret, I had always been in pretty good shape. My background in Tae Kwon-Do also gave me somewhat of a head start. My parents didn't find out until they saw me on a local wrestling show, under the name Heavenly Heather, sounds rather corny I know but it was my first gig. My dad hit the roof when he found out and convinced the promoter to fire me... but it didn't stop me"

" 'Lil Lauren the Rebel strikes again. Hahahaha..."
He laughs. Shaking his head. The more she opens up about her life, the more Jay can't help but like Lauren. He lifted his 'latte to his lips, taking another sip from it before continuing on...
"That's cool. I'm glad you didn't let your father control you or run your life the way he wants it to be run. You only get on in this life we have. No need in wasting it. It's good you're doing something you enjoy. I don't get people that do things they absolutely hate. The kind of people that loath waking up the next morning because they dread going to work. It doesn't make sense. It's good you enjoy this business and decided to stay. I know I am."

"Yeah, in the ring I don't know it feels like am truly alive like I was born to wrestle and nothing else. There was no chance in hell that my dad was going to stop me from doing it, of course it helped that I was good too. My first couple of months here were rocky and I have been close to retiring a couple of times, I just wasn't used to losing and I suppose I spat my pacifier out over it. I made too many mistakes and I punished myself for them, ever the perfectionist some might say"
Lauren's cheeks began to turn red as she finished saying that, she could feel this and she picked up her cup with both hands and took a sip hoping that her cheeks would return to the original color by the time she had put the cup down
"I guess now I am back on track I am starting to get that feeling back inside the ring, and when the match is over that pumped feeling is starting to last a little longer. Just need to sort out my personal life, she I can avoid things like guillotines and other nasties that hurt like hell"
Lauren smiled at Jay, something about him relaxed her, she didn't have to feel on her guard with him, maybe Jay Crack was himself that put her at ease

Jay nods as he listens to Lauren. It brought a smile to his face to see her being so optimistic. He's seen people get down on themselves in this business in the past. It's never really a good thing. Some people need that good talking to, in order to realize it ain't the end of the world. As Jay nodded his head, he said...
"That's good. That's real good. I'm happy to hear that you're feeling the desire burning deep down inside you again. That's when you know that you're beginning to start something beautiful. I love that feeling. The sounds of the crowd... The fire you feel in deep down when you're facing your opponent... The momentum... The whole experience is amazing. Can't say I didn't fall in love with this sport for no good reason. Hahaha... I don't blame you for following your instinct and jumping into the business. If I had known this feeling beforehand, I probably would have been here sooner too."
He paused for a moment. Lifting the 'latte up for another sip, then continuing on..
"How's things going with the family now-a-days? Still don't approve?"

"Well, I don't think they ever exactly approved. I suppose Women's champion of my father's company was about all the approval I'd ever get. By that time he probably knew he couldn't stop me. Logan by my side probably made him think I wasn't daddy's little girl anymore. Then I was probably one of the many thorns in his side. I guess I never really grew out of the rebel phase with him, seems we never saw eye to eye on things. But then again I don't thing father's and daughters ever do"
Lauren giggles before taking a sip of her latte, this time she immediately wipes her top lip

"As long as he still loves you, that's all that matters. Parents often disprove of what their children want to be. A lot of parents would like the ol' "follow in my footsteps" routine for their children. They would like it if you were just like them, if not better than them. But often times, it never really works out that way. As long as your father still loves you, despite the choices you made in life, that should be all that matters."
He nodded and raised his 'latte up. Taking a sip from it. Looking down at his glass, he continued...
"I've gone through the same thing myself. Well... Not with my father cause... Well... He got his panties in a bunch and dipped out on my family when I was young. But with my mother... You could say I've done some things that she didn't necessarily think were all that great of choices. I think it was just a mother type of thing though. She wanted me to remain her little boy. Didn't want me to grow up and make my own decisions."
He looked over at Lauren and said...
"As long as the unconditional love is there, that's all that matters though. If that someone loves you, then it doesn't matter if you deviate from their plan for you."
