Date: January 30th 2008 Time: 4: 36 A.M. Location: Boston, Massachusetts/Home of Laura De'Icco Her eyes suddenly snap open, gazing up at the ceiling fan turning in a constant circular motion. The look on her face showing that a moment of shock and confusion was flowing through her following the unexpected dream that had ended just seconds ago. She proceeded to blink a few times, as she let out a long and relief bringing breath before sitting up slowly sitting up in her bed, still trying to allow her eyes enough time to focus given the small amount of light shining through the drapes nearby.
A long and drawn out yawn came next, as her eyes scanned her bedroom seeing that it was in fact just a dream she had experienced moments ago. It had seemed too genuine and vivid. It was almost as if she could still faintly smell the lingering aroma of baby powder and baby lotion throughout the room. Which let her know just how deep the night scape had gotten for her. She slowly begins to reposition her body, swinging her feet around and before she knew it they were dangling from the side of the bed, just barely touching the floor. Both of her hands raised to her eyes, rubbing any traces of sleep from them as another long breath was released from her mouth. A small cough followed as she sat idle for a second, attempting to calm herself from the dream itself.
Finally after a few minutes, she had composed herself enough to leave the confines of the bed, stepping down from the bed, wearing only her panties and a old King Vegas T-shirt from back in New York, her feet finally touched the floor, and she instantly proceeded towards the door of her bedroom, headed for the kitchen area of her Boston cottage.
A few seconds later she found herself walking the length of the hallway towards her destination, still attempting to focus her eyes on the way there while glancing over the pictures on the walls of her hallway as she passed each of them. Pictures of her "boys" were lined along them the entire way down. Funny that even pictures of her own immediate family were absent, save for one picture of her sister Francesca. Finally finding herself at the end of the hallway, a few feet from the entrance to the kitchen, her steps ended their pace as one picture in particular caught her undivided attention...As if always has since the day it was taken during their time spent in New York. The picture was always special to her. She had grabbed it from their locker room back in New York after their "break up", which she and everyone else soon enough found out was just a big lie put together by the boys. Boy was she pissed when she realized it all.
Shaking her head back and forth as a small and barely audible chuckle left her lips, her hand raised towards the picture, faintly caressing it as her steps had already begun into the kitchen area, her arm rubbing against the doorway before her opposite arm reached to the side of the doorway, hitting the light switch and engulfing the room in light.
She slowly made her way to the fridge, her eyes squinted slightly as her bare feet seemingly slid across the kitchen floor tiles. Before she knew it she was reaching out to the door handle, pulling back and opening the refrigerator door to see what would quench her late night thirst tonight as she let out a small sigh before bending slightly to get a better view of her choices... "Hmmmmmm...Let's see here...*Yawn*...Ugh, Jessie...Just won't stop leaving half empty beer cans in here..." Her arm extended towards the two cans in question, grabbing them up into her arms before tossing them both in the nearby trash can. "At least Dice emptied his...God...*Sigh*..." She quickly turned back to the fridge again, this time remaining in an upright position, peering down into the kitchen appliance. Seconds later she spotted a small container of orange juice. Reaching inside she grabbed ahold of the bottle, pulling it from the ice box while leaving the fridge door wide open. Turning and making her way to a nearby cabinet, she reached into it, retrieving a small glass. And within seconds was pouring herself a glassful for this late night kitchen trip. Finishing up, she turned with the bottle in one hand, and with the other opened the refrigerator door, returning it to it's proper place before shutting the door back.
Turning back towards the counter, taking the glass up into her hand, she began her exit from the kitchen, while raising the glass to her lips, allowing for the cold liquid to flow over her lips seconds later. Finding her way to the door once again, her hand reached out to once again engulf the room in darkness. Once she did, she began her trek down the hallway once more, stopping in front of the picture once again...Her boys...Her family...Despite the stupid things they did...The risks they constantly took...And even how violent and lewd they could get at times...They were hers...Now & Forever...She only smiled, before turning and starting towards the bedroom once again with glass in hand, thinking about just what was next for her own life...Just what would Laura "Love" do with her life...From this point on...

"No Fran, no...Not anytime soon actually. How's Papa doing?" "Better at least. Least he's back home and out of that god forsaken hospital finally. He was beginning to think it was actually home I think. Mama was always on edge while he was in there too. So that's over. You sure you can't find the time to come back home? Just for a few days at least?"
She thought about it for a second, staring at the ceiling as her hand slightly moved the sheet covering her after feeling a small draft rush through the room. Letting out a long breath she squinted her eyes a bit before finally replying...
"Well...Maybe. Just maybe."
"Yes! I knew it!"
"Well, wait now. I said maybe Fran. *Giggles* Don't count me in just yet. I have...A few things to check on first. Then I'll see. You'll find something to do until then I'm sure."
"Yea I guess. Just boring as all hell here most of the time. I mean there's plenty to do, but no one to do it with. Sandra's got this new boyfriend and her nose is wide open. I barely even hear from her anymore. Sucks."
"Um, Francesca? It's called growing up I think hon'. Maybe it's time you find a beau for yourself and settle down. Have some little De'Icco's running around hm?"
A long pause from her sister on the other end, as Laura's hand arose towards her mouth, covering it before coughing a bit. Then...
"Look who's talking. Should have kept that last one you had. I'd be an Aunt by now and Mama would stop harassing ME about getting married and knocked up already. It's getting pretty old."
"Cross?"
Her words pause for a moment, thinking the suggestion over Not that she wouldn't have if given the chance but...Cross had a bit more growing up and settling down to do before she would have considered. She loved him and always would but...It just wasn't in the cards. It just wasn't. Shrugging it off, she turned over on her side, switching the phone to her opposite ear, and gazing across the room towards the television while responding...
"Meh, he wasn't ready for what I would want Francesca. He's still in that free spirit mind frame I think. Was good while it lasted but wasn't meant to be. He's more YOUR type actually. *Giggles* Want his number?"
"Might as well. He got a nice ass?"
"Fran!*Giggles* I'm joking!"
"Oh...Oh! Okay, nevermind then. But DOES he have a nice ass?"
"Shut up Fran. Just...Stop it. He's taken now from what I hear anyway so...So much for that you.*Giggles* But look little sis', Laura Love needs to get up from here...Get situated and get some things done around this house of mine so, I'll talk to you later?"
"Fine. But make sure you get back home soon okay? Give Mama & Papa someone else to yell at for a little while. I deserve a break."
"Alright, alright we'll see. *Giggles* Kiss Mama & Papa for me? Tell them I loro amore?"
"Sure thing and you know Ognuno ama Laura amore."
"Of course, why wouldn't they? *Giggles* Bye Bye Francesca"
"Bye Laura."
The phone was slowly placed back atop of the the base from where it was retrieved no less than ten minutes earlier. Moments later she found herself allowing for her body to once again sink into the mattress as she let out a long yawn, stretching herself a bit before glaring back over towards the television and the images being played this morning.
The preceding days had been full of pondering and the weighing of options as far as what was next on her plate as far as her "career" in this business that is "professional wrestling". She had spent the past 2 years handling management duties for perhaps the most influential and widely known stable of athletes to ever form in the business. Now? All of that seemed to be a thing of the past. Everyone scattered about, gone their separate ways, some moving on and starting families as well even. Which left her...
Free?...
It was a surreal moment, as if she had just now truly realized what this could mean for her instead of thinking of what once was. Perhaps everything did happen for a reason and this was her chance to live her own personal dream. Perhaps this was the moment where she had to make that decision, to once and for all put what she wanted above all else. Perhaps...It was simply...Her time...
The faint sound of small feet sliding across the oak wood floor could be heard approaching, causing for Laura's head to raise, turning her attention towards the door of her bedroom. Within seconds she could see the small child emerging into the scene, a smile on Laura's face as her "house guest" seemed to be attempting to remove any traces of sleep from her eyes all the while approaching her bed. Sitting up slowly, she smiled brightly, tilting her head a bit before speaking up finally...To the beautiful young lady before her...Madison Marie Genovese...
"Well good morning sleepy head...Aunt Laura wake you up with her loud talking and laughing?"
Seconds later Madison found her way onto the bed, plopping herself into Laura's lap almost without regard for her well being it seemed.
"Ouch! *Giggles* Don't hurt Aunt Laura now. I'm young but not THAT young. I bruise easily. So, you sleep good? Want some breakfast?"
She peered down into the eyes of the small child, the gesture returned only seconds later as she only nodded confirming she indeed did want something to calm those early morning signs of hunger. Nodding her head Laura replied after a long sigh...
"Alright, I'll see what I can do in that kitchen that Jessie left a mess in. Come on."
Tapping her lightly on her backside, signaled for her to get up from the bed, Laura following close behind, her ritual sleepwear still in tact. Slowly she found her way to the floor, slipping into her slippers nearby before looking back to Madison with a smile on her face, extending her hand towards her to guide her to their next destination. The kitchen.
"Come on baby. Let's get something in these empty bellies of ours hm?"
Again another head nod as they began their way towards the bedroom door, and seconds later found themselves walking the length of the hallway Laura had walked only hours before during her late night quest to quench her twilight thirst. A long yawn leaves Laura's mouth just as the words could be heard, drawing her attention and forcing her to glance down towards the innocent face of little Miss Genovese...
"Auntie Laura?"
Raising an eyebrow as she could notice a look of concern on her face instantly, she replied...
"Yea sweetie?"
"Where's my daddy?"
A blank look instantly crossed her face, hearing the question. One she was neither prepared for nor expecting at such a time. Nodding her head as they had finally arrived at the kitchen, she took her free hand, hitting the light switch to turn the lights on before turning back to Madison with a trace of a smile forming at the corners of her lips, slowly beginning to form the answer to the young child's question on this early winter morning...
"Well...Well...Let's...See if we can get in contact with him okay?"

"I love you too daddy."
A genuine and bright shining smile shown on Laura's face as she sat across from Madison holding the phone with both hands firmly pressed against her ear. It was good for her to speak to at least one of her parents, seeing as how Taylor seemed to be missing for the most part or either not concerned with the welfare of her child. Either or, it made her just as bitchy as she was rumored to be.
She sat quiet, her chin firmly in the palms of her hand as her arms supported her head as she awaited the phone to be handed back to her, in which she knew it would be. She was sure her father had some things to speak about, and she too had some things she needed to say to him as well. Moments later, a bright smile on Madison's face, the phone was handed back to her as she could hear the child's voice...
"My daddy wants to talk to you Auntie Laura."
Returning the smile to the child, she took the phone up into her grasp as she stood from her chair, before speaking to her as she slowly raised the phone to her ear...
"Go ahead and finish your breakfast okay sweetie?"
Watching on as Madison occupied her original seat again, Laura turned, beginning her trek towards the doorway, the phone now firmly pressed against her own ear, both hands holding the receiver just as Madison's had moments ago, and once at the doorway turning back to face the little princess as she leaned against the doorway letting out a long sigh as she spoke into the phone...
"Well at least that should hold her for a little while. She's been missing you something fierce lately. Any word from Taylor yet?"
"Word? Actually...No. Fortunate for her I would say."
"And how is that fortunate Cross?"
A long silence came over the conversation as Laura waited for some sort of response from the other end. A few seconds passed, yet what she awaited never arrived, so she once again chimed in with...
"Well, whatever, that's between you two I guess but...I have to ask Cross. When is this little girl gonna get to see at least one of her parents? I mean...She's not a problem...At all, and you know I love her but...She misses the both of you. More so you really. Wasn't the plan for you boys to take some time off for more important things after everything that happened at the end of the year?"
He listened to her words intently, knowing that small piece of dialog was very much expected. He had thought the situation over himself, yet he knew that there were other determining factors in his daughter being back with him again, as well as on a permanent basis. Thousands of miles away from Toronto, Canada, and Chicago, Illinois as well, he knew that each second that passed, and each thought of her that popped into his head concerning her and her well being was matched by her thoughts of her mother, him as well as their whereabouts.
"Yes that was the initial plan Laura yet...I'm sure you understand that plans are very often irrelevant when pertaining to and factored against real life events...Such as those of this past year to be exact. She's with you she's safe...With me?...I honestly cannot say the same as I fear this madness is yet to be completely over."
"Oh god Cross *Sigh* What now? What's happened now?"
"No, nothing as of late yet...I have the unnerving feeling that it will...Very soon. Which is why I believe my contact with her as well as yourself should be limited...As much as it pains me to do so..."
Her hand found it's way to her forehead, rubbing it slightly as she thought over the events of the past year, most notably the end part of it where her family seemed to be dropping like flies from numerous violent attacks from unknown person(s). It just couldn't be starting again...She couldn't take it again...She just couldn't...
"Look...You and the boys should just...I don't know...I just...I can't stand for anything to happen to anyone of you so...I just can't believe this all isn't over yet. It's madness. We've lost enough as it is...I can't bare anymore Cross...I really can't...Just...Be careful whatever you do?"
"Of course, of course. But I'm afraid I must cut this most enjoyable call short Love. I'll be in contact again very soon..."
"You better. Take care and tell Sarah I said hello. And tell Silvia to call me if you see her?"
"Of course. Until then..."
"Bye Cross."
The dial tone was the next thing she could hear over the phone before looking back to the table where little Miss Genovese was seated, a seemingly endless smile on her face enjoying the last bits of her breakfast. She phone found it's way back to the base on the wall a few feet from her, before she began making her way back to the table herself, hoping that the child's mind was put at ease at least a little bit after speaking to her father.
Taking her seat again, she let out a long sigh, staring at Madison finishing up her small meal, hoping and praying that the coming months would be much better for her concerning matters with her parents and their whereabouts. Only time would tell...Only time...

Date: February 2nd 2008 Time: 5: 57 P.M. Location: Boston, Massachusetts/Home of Laura De'Icco
A full two days had passed since speaking with Cross finally. Madison was easing back into being away from both of her parents again it seemed. Which put Laura's mind at ease at least for the time being. Though soon she knew that once again, the child would most likely be uprooted from the one place of consistency once again if things went as she thought they would. Over the past few months since the culmination of APW's inaugural season, she had tons and tons of time to think things over concerning her own personal next move. Many options she had yes, but there was only one passion that was yet to be explored. One skill yet to be truly tested. And one undying love left unattained.
A small sigh left her lips, looking out into the massive landscape of her cozy piece of land. Watching tentatively as Madison run through the grass, playing alone and generally enjoying herself. A shift in her glances a few feet away and she could see Bianca and her son Austin doing much of the same. Her vision slowly dropped, opening the small book in her hand as her eyes instantly landed on the flyer like piece of paper in the center of it. Her eyes closed slowly, thinking of just how to handle the coming situation. Opening her eyes once again, she glanced back out into the front yard, seeing the two children seemingly playing some sort of game that resembled something along the lines of some tag related game. Chasing one another...Laughing and playing...They were...Genuinely...
Happy...
Which is all children, as well as any other human on the planet wishes to have...True happiness...But as she gazed over them, observing their every movement she wondered...
When would be her time to be...Happy...
Her eyes slowly lower to the paper once again, picking it up this time and bringing it eye level, almost staring a hole through it as she thinks over the possibilities. She had been trained in many things in her day...But there was only one that she was yet to truly explore, experience and be able to covet. What Mr. Storm had given her as well as the others back at the school in Boston so many years ago, and what she knew was her first "Love"...
Her sights once again falling to the piece of paper, as she discarded the book to the side of the porch swing she slowly leaned back into, turning slightly so as to rest her free arm along the back of it. The words on the page nearly unseen to her eyes at this point. There were only three letters she was concerned with. Three letters that could possibly lead to her finally living her dream and doing what she knew she was born to do.
Action...Packed...Wrestling...
New management...New outlook...New year...
But was it to be her year? Was it her chance finally to not have to sacrifice her time and efforts, and to live her own dreams in the squared circle?
Quickly the paper was folded, sliding it over towards the book, eventually laid lightly across the top of it, before she looked back out to the children again. She knew what she wanted...She knew what she could do...And she knew that all it took was her getting prepared and going for it. Her only concern as of this moment though was Madison's frame of mind if she was to find out that once again she'd be plucked from the comfortable situation she was in, and moved...Somewhere...With someone. Her mother IF she was to magically re-appear after missing for so long?...Sarah if she was in fact able to find the time while wrestling the independent circuit, as well as traveling back and forth to Chicago just to be able to see her husband?...
For a split second there, she almost felt some animosity towards Cross for not being available as much as she knew he did want to be. Yet then again...Was he to let go of his own dreams, even for his own child? If so then who would she look to for an example to follow when her own opportunity came for chasing her future dreams?
She only shook her head, staring endlessly at the scene unfolding a few dozen feet away from where she sat...Pondering...Hoping...Praying...Anticipating...
