It was a few days before the big show. The showcase of APW that would name all of it's respective title holders for the official beginning of the season. Sarah found herself in the training facility of Arrowhead Pond. She found herself pushing herself harder than normal. The past few contests didn't end in the way she thought they would have and felt as if there was something to prove. Not to anyone else. Not to any of the fans even. It was more of her proving...That she belonged.
That she belonged among the likes of the Liz Michaels, Nicole Storms and the Christina Grubers of the APW Rose Division. She knew without a doubt that if she was to fully fulfill her dream of being one of the best female competitors in the world of wrestling, her game would need to be stepped up tenfold. And she knew that with her upbringing, along with the things her brother of all people had taught her not that long ago, it was only a matter of time before she reached her peak performance level. She just hoped that when she did, she'd be able to find a way to remain there and remain at the top of the pile in the now coveted Rose Division.
Her body fatigued, her focus sporadically all over the world it seemed, she thought it best for a brief relaxation period and plopped her small frame on a nearby weight bench in the center of the training facility. Her eyes began to wander as she noticed just how many of APW's superstars were present at the time. And how many seemed to be doing the same as she. She could see it in their eyes. Their movement. Their intensity with which they reveled in their workouts with. Her moment of observation is interrupted when she hears a voice from behind her say...

He sat in the lockerroom of the same gym, having arrived in Anaheim earlier in the morning. His mind was still a wreck. His job, his wife... the relationship that cost him his wife... all of it was gone. Now, he's a transplant... not that he has that much of a problem with it, at least he's still wrestling. At least he's still got the fame, and notoriety, however unnecessary he felt that the hype of his signing brought, it was good to know that he was still wanted at least.
Reaching around his arm, he grabs an elbow pad sitting on the bench, thumbing it in his hand, staring at the embroidered red spider stitched into the back of it. For her. He never told her anything... but her loss... it killed him. Nobody had ever seen him like the way he was when she came along... and nobody ever will... just the lifestyle of a public figure. What goes on off camera, doesn't affect you on camera. He slides it up his arm, still feeling the spider on the back, as he shakes his head. He missed Lilith.
Putting his tank top over his torso, he fastens the workout boots he has on, slipping on the kick pads as he saw a heavy bag that needed to be taught a lesson when he came in. Putting on a set of wristbands, and tucking his shirt into his loose shorts, he exits the lockerroom, seeing someone a bit familiar...
"Well I'll be damn just who else I'm going to find out here... how are you, Sarah?"

Sarah raises an eyebrow as if she had heard the voice of a ghost. Someone she hadn't seen in quite some time. As she partially turned herself around on the weight bench to face the person and her eyes met with the sight of his face, her eyes widened when she saw who it was. Immediately following her mouth literally dropped open followed by a moment of silence as she was clearly in a small bit of shock. She had heard the rumors and all but wasn't quite sure if they were true.
[shadow=purple,left,300]Jon...Oh I mean Mr. Pryor!...I'm terribly sorry for that...I umm...Whoa, you really did come to APW I see...Wow...Umm...[/shadow]
She quickly stands from the bench, taking the towel that was placed around her neck and cleansing her hands of the sweat that was on her hands. After frantically rubbing them completely dry, she extended her hand to him...
[shadow=purple,left,300]It's great to see you here Mr. Pryor...When did you arrive?[/shadow]

He smiles as he shakes her hand...
"In Anaheim? Earlier this morning. Took a nap, then decided to do something with today... but in APW? About a week and a half..."

[shadow=purple,left,300]Oh okay...Well that's nice...I take it you're liking what APW has to offer so far?...[/shadow]
She stood there with a smile on her face until she realized just who this man was. The smile began to fade a bit as she awaited his response. She knew of some of the things that had happened over the course of the past few months. She also knew of his allegiance to a certain faction in which she was the initial "center piece" so to speak. And she undoubtedly knew of his, although brief, ties to her brother.
An awkward feeling came over her. She fought to keep the paranoia out of her mind about why he approached her and continued to try to think good thoughts about the man despite some of his alliances. In a move to help her become more comfortable in the situation she crossed her arms across her body in hopes of not giving off her thoughts at the time.

"A little nervous? I'm not here to be the same..."
He points out the spider on his elbow pad...
"And, despite it not being my ex wife... with what I've lost, I just don't have the drive to be a fed-changing pain in the ass right now. I just want to get in the ring. And, as an answer to your question... yes, I am enjoying what they offer now. It's nice and compact..."

A silent sigh of relief comes over Sarah as she hears the words from Jon. She didn't know what to expect but was happy he wasn't up to his "old tricks".
[shadow=purple,left,300]Well that's good to hear Jon...I'm not sure that was you at all anyway...But my brother...You know what? Nevermind him, what are you brushing up on a bit of ring rust before the show? ARE yo in the show?[/shadow]

He nods...
"Fighting their "Hot shit" import... Yoshi Togo. I get tired of these guys sometimes, I really do... holding all this gold in federations nobody but a select few have heard of, whereas I did it right in the national limelight. But, hey, to each his own, he wants to brag about it? Fine with me. This'll be a good match, anyways. What're you up to? Got some big plans?"

[shadow=purple,left,300]Yeah me and this other gal, Lindsay Corban, are gonna tag up against these two wanna be alpha she-males Rebecca Skye and Melissa Armstrong. Show the Angels that the Rose division needs a set of tag titles the right way. I got no problem with those two personally but Lindsay isn't too fond of them so I gotta back my partner up you know. I think we can take em'. But it sure would help if you gave some pointers Mr. Pryor. Moreso Lindsay than me though. I think she needs some focus. Especially with all the anger inside of her lately.[/shadow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]Let's not go into that. Tee Hee. It's like a soap opera from what I hear though. Don't wanna say since I don't have the details but girls are talking you know.[/shadow]

"Ah... alright. How's she in the ring? Might as well go for the full package, you know?"
He pulls over a bench, sitting down on it. Nobody was using it... and if they were gonna cause a problem with it, he is wearing his kick pads...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Meh, she's good but she's missing something. Kind of like I was before being able to work with my brother and Jason a bit y'know. She just needs that edge about her. That, that killer instinct. I'm telling you the girl is good. She just caught a bad break against Frosty the Snowwoman is all. She'll bounce back with the right help in the right areas. [/shadow]

"No, of course not... I just got in myself, and I'm sure I gotta find Togo around here anyways, but we'll figure something out. Make sure she knows about it though..."

[shadow=purple,left,300]Alright Mr. Pryor. And thanks again. I really really really appreciate this favor. I won't forget it. I gotta go find her and tell her the good news! Whooo! It's gonna be hell on heels once we get a hold of these ladies in APW! See ya' later Mr. Pryor![/shadow]
Sarah quickly darts over to the bench where her bag sat, snatching it up and making her way towards the door of the facility seemingly in a hurry to find her new tag partner. This was good news for the ladies. Being mentored by someone of Pryor's stature was sure to make them more than noticable in the tag ranks. Male OR female.

Jon just smirks, watching Sarah take off like a bat out of hell to find Lindsay. Standing he walks over the heavy bag, beginning his training with a fleet of kicks.

Suddenly as he throws a kick to the bag, it seems to not give much as it did before. From the other side...Togo holds it. Shaking his head...
[glow=red,2,300]So..."Hot Shit" import, eh? You really should mind your words Mr. Pryor, they get around very quickly...something you of all people should know full well.
The "limelight" you speak of is nothing but matches against those who were not on your level. All but 6 were able to defeat you...and whereas you may think that impresses most, it does not impress me. You LOSE even more decisively than you WIN, and Battlezone will serve as another example of your inadequecies...[/glow]

"See, here's how I see it..." He hardly felt like dealing with this, but hey, what the fuck? He leans against the bag, just as Togo had been doing... "You're known by how much, three, maybe four people, right? Holding some World Title in a federation that pretty much only those three or four people know about, thinking that you're the real deal. You may look at my competition for my title, but for this, I point out. I was on the main stage. When people looked at LXW, my name was the one that stood out. Hell, people hardly even know where the hell you're from, probably from not caring. As far as they're concerned, you're just another foreign ego coming in that isn't going to find his rightful place, realize he doesn't belong and fade into obscurity..."Probably not the wisest choice of words, but the hell with it... "See, LXW was right on track to destroy the competition, to be the biggest name in the land, and guess who was defining it? Guess who was the example of legitimacy? Me... not some "unbeatable uber-wrestler" that most would ignore, not giving the time of day because they're scared of a loss, oh hell no... it was me. Day in, day out, the workhorse, putting over numerous members of the roster, giving them that little extra push, either by taking it easy on them, or flat out being bested. I'm not ashamed to admit it, so if you think you're striking a cord with me, think again. And guess what? I took each and every one of them on, challenger after challenger, each of them, and win or lose, I made it memorable. I made it notorious. Whereas... what've you done again? Hid in some little federation that only a very few fish in the sea know about, and you want to come in here, have your agent make a big deal about yourself, throw a huge press conference, when in fact, I could very easily, and justifiably do that and more in spades, as my contract was worth a flight to New York with a LARGE check in tow, therefore making me the prized possession, yet I actually managed to come in here pretty humbly. Sad... that an apparently proud and decorated warrior thinks so highly of himself that his coming has to be treated like a national event, while nobody knows who he really is, has seen him in action or what not, and the hand picked big deal just basically shows up, and, as you probably paid attention to, unless your ego refuses to recognize everything else but what you're name was dropped about, someone who is here to assist everyone, the humble example. Consider myself... not impressed, sir."[/center][/color]
