The malls were packed with kids far and near
With parents dashing for toys like the majestic deer.
The parents fought over every last doll
And some of them looked Like little babies just starting to crawl
There I stood six foot six,
Trying not to get pushed into the pointy wooden sticks.
I grabbed the gift that would get me a kiss;
From my beautiful fiancee who's name is Liz.
I got to the check out and looked at the clock
Closing time drew near tick tok tick tok.
After an hour of waiting it was finally my turn,
But then the teller closed and said it wasn't her concern.
I took a deep breath and took out my cash,
Which I had hidden all year like a dealers secret stash.
I dropped it on the counter and made my way to the door,
When security stopped me; he told me I couldn't leave the store. He took my gift and tossed it aside, unfortunately it hit a little boy.
I picked up the cop and tossed him and tossed him into the door, While the kids looked on and absolutely adored.
I smiled at them all and picked up my present,
And ran through the door looking nothing like the common peasant. When I got home my girl was nowhere to be seen,
But my senses were not that keen.
Liz looked at me from a far,
She smiled and showed me she had gotten beer from the bar.
I placed the gift under the tree,
Just as the clock struck three.
I wished her a Merry Christmas and kissed her on the cheek,
And I forgot to wrap her present....DAMN I WISHED I HAD OF FIXED THAT LEAK.
I looked at the gift which was soaking wet,
And wish I had just gave her the roses that I should have kept.
