Nick Cash was driving along in his Impala on his cell phone. The phone rang but there was no answer on the other line so the answering machine picked up. Cash turned to the right as he left his message on the machine.
Hey Laura, It’s Nick. If you’ve got time can you meet me at the Tower View Restaurant and Lounge? I’d like to talk about a few things. Thanks, hope to see you there.
Nick then continues to drive down the road as he pulls up at the Tower. Nick takes his shades and hangs them on his shirt as he walks out of his car. He then shuts the door, locking the entire car as he walks inside the Tower. Nick then walks into the Restaurant & Lounge and goes to take a seat. A few minutes later the waiter brings him a glass of water. He then sits and waits to see if Laura would show up as he sips at his water…

Laura had received the call from Nick. She immediately dropped everything she was involved in with her other clients, and headed to the designated spot for their proposed meeting. She enters the Tower View, casual attire draping her frame as she removes the sunglasses from her face.
She pauses as she begins to scan the establishment in search of Mr. Cash. She notices quite a few familiar faces as she does so, and within thirty seconds spots him across the room seated at a table alone. She then proceeds in his direction as she slips the sunglasses in her purse before flinging it over her shoulder, beginning her trek. It doesn't take long to reach the table and when she does, she greets Mr. Cash with a bright smile as she extends her hand to him for a brief handshake addressing him...
Well hello Nick. Got your message and hurried over as quick as I could. Hope I'm not late?...
After their brief hand exchange, she takes her seat across from him, placing her purse on the empty chair beside the one she had just occupied. After getting herself comfortable and waiving off the waiter asking is she too wanted a beverage she chimes in...
You sounded like something was wrong on your message Nick. Anything in particular you wanted to speak about?

As Laura arrived, Nick took another sip of his drink before passing his hand through his hair and responding. Glad you could make it Laura. After Laura asked a question on if something was bothering him, he stayed silent for about thirty seconds before responding…Well, as you know I challenged Mark Cross earlier this week, and I got a number one contenders match this week at Full Throttle for the NationWide championships. Now I may have sounded cocky in the ring, but I think I may be getting a little ahead of myself… I mean Mark Cross knows his way around that squared circle well… really well. He’s been in the wrestling business for awhile now and all the confidence I had when he was standing in the ring with me seems to be going down as we are getting closer to Full Throttle. Nick then stops talking as he takes yet another sip of the water sitting in front of him then looks across the table at Laura…

I see...
Laura thought on this one for a moment. She knew Nick was partly correct on his thoughts of Mark as far as his experience in this business thus far. He had been around a long time and had a lot of success in the squared circle. Which truly was why Laura wanted Nick to go after the title he held onto at this very moment.
Nick. There's no reason to doubt yourself at this point. I mean, if I didn't believe you could capatilize on this opportunity, I wouldn't have advised you to do so. You just have to make sure you're prepared for the match come Full Throttle. I have no doubt that you can come out the victor in this match up Nick. But you've gotta believe it too. I mean really, is there anything in that ring you believe he can do that you can't?

There is no doubt that I am prepared, I’ve trained all week long for this match.
He pauses, pushing his glass aside so the waiter could take it away as he responded…
But you’re right, if you didn’t believe I could beat Mark, you wouldn’t have told me to go after him... but when your days away from facing a man like Mark, you have different perspectives going through your head. You don’t know whether or not you will end up walking out of the match, or carried out on a stretcher. But I have to forget about those things… I know if I can give it my all I can beat Cross. After ending a winning streak like I did, I don’t think there is much Nick Cash can’t do…

Well I won't lie to you about Mark Nick. He IS a very..."Dangerous" competitor. Just as with any other match, the possibility of injury IS there. But like you said yourself, you've prepared all week for this match. I'm confident that you'll do fine. As long as you remember the scouting footage you've done and what his weaknesses are...If there are any, you'll be in a good position to come out with a win and receive that title shot we both know you deserve. And if not? Well...I'll just have to work extra hard to get you that shot some other way. All in all, I think Mark and yourself will put on one hell of a match this Saturday. I'm sure neither of you will disappoint.

I can’t afford another injury, that’s for sure. He may be a very dangerous competitor, but so am I. This is by far the biggest task in my career and I plan on coming out on top. I have to forget all the things that have been going through my head and just focus on beating him.

Exactly Nick. Go in there and do what you know you can do. That's all anyone can ask of themselves. I've managed some of the more talented people in this business in my year of management representation. And the one thing I've learned is that, you are always your worst enemy when you over think things like this. I believe it's your time to shine and come next Full Throttle I believe you'll be facing Mark with that title on the line. After that? Well we'll go from there when it happens.

Your right, a person is they’re worst enemy. I’ve got to stop worrying about losing and focus on winning. I know I can do it, all I have to do is believe. Mark Cross… is just another stepping stone in my way to the top. If I beat him this week… Next week, will have the same outcome. All I have to do… is believe.

That's the Nick Cash I know. *Giggles* Now that THAT'S settled, I can calm down about whether or not my client is ready and we can have a few drinks. Shall we?
