It had been Jason's intention to go to the tower view and just have a couple of quiet drinks while Sarah was training with Lindsay. Upon entering the establishment though he saw a familiar face sitting by himself and couldn't help but head over to see what had him sitting here with such a serious look on his face. Sitting down at the same table as his brother he spoke up before the other could. So brother just what is it that has you sitting here looking all serious? I mean you usually have a pretty serious look on your face but this one is new even for you. Jason took a drink from the beverage he brought over with him as he waited for a reply from his brother.

A raised eyebrow as His Majesty hears the familiar voice mere feet away. Within seconds their eyes meet and as a head nod ensues from the King to his brother in law, so does a deep sigh as he replies while motioning his hand inviting him to join him...Which he knew he would anyway though...Please...*Sigh*...It seriously cannot be as bad as you make it to be my good man. Merely in a thought process as always. Nothing...Too serious I gather. He notices the demeanor on Jason's face, clearly not believing a word he had just spoken. The King's vision darting across the cafe for an instant before making it's way back to the coming conversation before him...And what might I ask brings you this way?...My sister smarten up and run you away finally?...Heh Heh...

Jason sits down across from Vegas and chuckles as he hears the last words from his brother-in-law. Oh thats a good one Vegas, but no much to your regret she hasn't run me off. As a matter of fact, oh and please keep this secret we want to tell people ourselves, she is out checking out things for the twins seems your going to be an uncle brother-in-law. Jason sat back then watching the look on Vegas's face which he considered absolutely priceless at this point.

Jason stared straight ahead at Vegas completely serious as he spoke I said she was out buying things for the twins. We're thinking of naming them Mark and Lindsay. Umm you okay Vegas your looking kind of pale. At that point Jason's cell phone started ringing and he took it out answering the call. After a brief conversation Jason looked at vegas and spoke up. That was Sarah she says hi. Now where were we oh yes the twins. There are no twins Vegas. Sarah is training with Lindsay at the moment. You must really be preoccupied if you never even saw this one coming. Whats got you so distracted? |

A stern look sent towards his brother in law seated across from him as his fingers drummed along the table they shared...
Wow...Thank you Jason. I SO needed a heart attack today you know...*Sigh* And as far as myself being distracted, I have no idea what you're speaking of. Simply in deep thought as always of course.
He glared back across the table towards his brother in law, seeing that the look in his face suggested he believed not the first word of his last statement...

Jason just looked across the table at his brother-in-law shaking his head. I'm not buying that for an instant brother. I had that same look on my face more than few times in the past year thanks to you and The Familia. It's the look of a man trying to make a decision that will change his whole future and as strange as this may be to hear, I'm willing to help if I can because you are family after all. Jason sat watching the man that not long ago he would have rather been seeing suffer, before he would ever consider helping him and thought about just how stange life could be sometimes.

No not really your pretty much the talk of the tower over this one brother. I must say I have no idea how you have so many women wanting you like this, nor do I care to as Sarah and I will be quite happy with each other till old age finally gets to us, but I can see only one for for you to go with this if you want to end up with the right women out of these two. Then again I doubt you really want to hear what I have to say about something like this. Not that I'm going to let that stop me. It's as easy as one word the name of the one best suited for you brother your perfect match from what can be seen of her, and that is Dayna. |

A look of shock came over His Majesty's face hearing the..."Words of advice" it seemed?...Indeed a strange development to say the least as he adjusted in his seat slightly before responding...
Is that so? Hmm...I find it interesting you'd have a positive opinion on either of the ladies in question really. I figured you'd be enjoying this little situation to no end by now. I clearly misjudged you?...Hm?...No matter I guess...Though...I of course have to ask...How did you come to such a conclusion as to whom would be..."Better suited" for yours truly? It's almost as if...As if...You care...Heh Heh...But we both know better yes?...But first allow me to ask...Have you met either of the ladies as of yet?

Well to be honest. I haven't met either of them personally, so my judgments are made by watching them on the stage where we need to be at our sharpest, plus things I hear from those I can trust like Sarah for instance. One question for you though say you went with Destiny could you really trust something that was built on a lie, and could you trust her not to jump the next hot thing to come along just like she did with you. Taking another drink Jason sat back and let Vegas mull that one over.

He thought the posed questions over for a moment. It would see Mr. Cross was as sharp as ever today. Even posing some most interesting questions along the way. He himself had to ponder such a thing of course...Yet the King always pondered all possibilities concerning EVERYONE...Around him...But first he had to of course clear something up with his brother in law...
Touche'...Yet what makes you believe I'm sitting here debating on a..."Choice"? I am doing no such thing. Merely reflecting. Now onto the subject and question posed...The topic of...Trust...It is a touchy one is it not? I mean...How can we ever truly know we can trust one? Whether they be family...No matter how long affiliated...Regardless of your previous history with person in question...Any and all supposedly years of trust built could be destroyed...With just one...Simple action from either party. What would make me think that if this was about "choosing", and I chose Destiny, would I be able to trust her? What would stop her from "hopping" the next hot thing available as you say?...Interesting question it is...Yet I have one for you in response...Who's to say you could trust ANYone in that same situation? Who's to say the person you hold most dear to your heart will be...Truly..."Faithful" in such an ordeal? Hm?...That being said, and that being known to both of us now...IF...Someone were making a..."Choice"...How would they go about doing so then Mr. Cross?...With the obvious "trust factor" clearly not even worthy of the time it takes to think of it at all...What...Then?...
He then raises an eyebrow, a smirk coming across his face as he folds his arms, leaning slightly in his chair as he awaits his brother in laws response...This?...Should be good...

Well if trust isn't an option then it becomes a matter of the heart, you know that thing you hardly ever use brother. What does it tell you. What words does it whisper to you, as you sleep about who it sees being most compatible with you. Which of the two will stand by you ten even twenty years from now. I can tell you what my heart told me about Sarah the first time I saw her. That there was no one more perfect in the world and the two of us would be together for the rest of our lives. I'm betting you've already had similar feeling about one of them brother and only one of them, because from what I've seen there is only one of those two young women with the same mind as you, and the same talent as you. Your just so used to keeping people at a distance that your having trouble accepting that. The sad part about this is if you keep holding the right one at away from you brother then you lose them both because I can't see you staying with other for more than a short while when you realize what you missed. |

The heart? Did Jason know whom he was speaking with? His Majesty had to chip ice from around that thing every morning upon waking and now he wanted him to...Pfftt...Possible yes, just...Highly unlikely...And the rest of your life? Can you say over planning? Damn that was quite a long time to plan ahead and plan for by His Majesty's standards. Why plan that far ahead when it all could be gone within the blink of an eye, at any instant, on any day for that matter?...It made no sense to him. He was more accustomed to living in the moment and acting and reacting accordingly...
I see. So I should do what my..."Heart" tells me instead of my brain is what you're saying? Hmmm...Interesting choice of dealing with matters of relationships. Guess I've always chose to allow for my brain to do what it was made to do Mr. Cross. What my heart tells me...Hmm...Perhaps things are a bit more serious than I thought then. A sigh escapes him as he listens to Vegas talk. True what could I possibly know about women I'm only happily married despite the fact that my own brother-in-law tried for the better part of a year to split us up. Oh and why did that not work because while you thought things out from moment to moment with your brain, Sarah and I were thinking with our hearts about how much we wanted for things to just be over so that she and I could be together. In situations like this brother it's the heart that will see you through not your brain, at least if you want to be happy that is. Then again what do I know right I'm only the guy that married the woman he loves.

Well...It seems as if...I have quite the thought process to endure then don't I?...It should be interesting to see how this plays out I'm sure. Since...Things as of late are no secret, has my beloved sister "heard"? And if so...Where are her thoughts on this entire matter? Knowing the mouth on her I'm sure she has at least some opinion on things?...

Jason smiled as he thought of Sarah and spoke up to inform his brother in law of what his wife thought. Well as far as Sarah is concerned, she has talked to Destiny and she seems okay. As far as Dayna goes she has never met her but seems to think that she is you in a female body and the two fo you should be kept apart at all costs. |

Jason chuckled as he listened to Vegas speak. Believe me I'll be the first to admit that if I was in this to see you miserable I would want you as far from Dayna as possible. You two together working toward the same end is just scary, even worse is you two having a child. I believe Mark refered to any such occurence with you two, as it being the spawn of satan. Thing is as much as I hate to admit it Dayna is perfect for you, where as with Destiny I only see you getting bored and moving on or her cheating on you. |

I wouldn't even dream of such a thing until retirement came along...Even though...I have to admit to pondering THAT in particular each and every day that passes. Oh god no he didn't...That last part will most likely cause for regurgitation fits right at the table. Surely the King cannot be serious in his statements?
