From One King to Another (o2 Vegas)

After the opening pyro blasts to kick off "Red, White, & Bruised". Genesis comes out from behind the stage curtains in his street clothes. Wearing a T-Shirt that says "Destined..." on the front with the phrase "To Kick Your A$$ !" on the back. He makes his way down the rampway with a very solem look on his face as he appears not to be too happy with what happened last week and looks to be a man on a mission.

As he slides into the ring. Genesis yanks the microphone from the ring announcer's hands and tells him to scram ! As he does, he tells the capacity crowd on hand to shut there mouths ! As they continue to boo him anyways. Genesis decides to go ahead & start talking:

Genesis - Last week was a complete travesty ! Last week was supposed to have been my crowning moment in APW history ! But last week. As I was fighting that brutal match with Dayna Mariano & Mark Cross. I realized that it really wasn't worth getting the Nationwide Championship under those circumstances ! So being nice King that I am. I allowed "Queen" Dayna to get the pin over Cross and get the title for herself.

As I stood and watched the celebration. I couldn't help but laugh to myself knowing that poor little Mark Cross just got beat by a woman ! Me on the other hand. The real KING of APW. I did not lose the match. No I don't did not. Cause I don't remember Dayna nor Mark Cross pinning my shoulders to the mat for the 1,2,3. Nor do I recall either of them making me tap out. So Ladies & Gentleman...the man that is still standing tall in this very ring. And yet STILL UNDEFEATED at an impressive 7-0 record. The King........of CONTROVERSYYYYYYYYY !!!!!

Announcer #1 - About time that idiot decided shut his mouth. 7-0 record my red, white, n' blue ass ! Pardon the pun ladies & gentleman.

Announcer #2 - Don't Genesis an idiot you moron ! If it wasn't for Genesis. You wouldn't have a job or food to put on your family's table !

Announcer #1 - Oh please ! Thats B.S. and you know it.

Announcer #2 - You don't have to lie. Genesis could've easily won the APW Nationwide Championship last week whenever he wanted to.

Announcer #1 - Then why didn't he do it then hot shot ?

Announcer #2 - You ever here of the phrase "Ladies First" ?

Announcer #1 - Yeah and what does THAT have to do with Genesis not being the champion ?

Announcer #2 - Simple. Genesis wanted Dayna to be the champion so it would make his next title shot an easy win for him.

Announcer #1 - (Laughs) Your dellusional....you know that ?

Genesis - Now that I have that out of my system. Seeing as how I have nothing planned here tonight. I wanna make a special challenge to a man who loves to rip off others. A man who claims that he's the quote unquote "King" of APW. Mr. "King" Vegas !!!

Genesis - Vegas ! I've heard you in the back flapping your little gums about how you rule your kingdom with an iron fist. How you & your precious Queen call the shots around here. Allow me to say that you my friend have NOTHING on me buddy boy.

The title "King" is something to be earned. Not just stamped in front of anybodies name. You see Vegas. I earned my name "The King of Controversy" through both reputation and hard work. I busted my ass to get to where I am today. Won multible World Championships and other prestigious titles throughout the world. What have you ever done Vegas ? Other then sit on your ass and let your Queen do all the work huh ?

Vegas. Bottom line little man. I'm sick & tired of hearing you proclaim yourself to be the King. So I say tonight lets put an end to that once & for all. Lets have a match later tonight. I want you Vegas to play in my playground. My own personal house of pain if you will. Ladies & Gentleman...if you will turn your attention to the Big Screen at the stage entrance for just a moment please. Guys in the back...show them the match that I have in mind !





Genesis - This my friends is what I like to call "The King's Dungeon !" What you see fans is a 15-Foot High Steel Cage. Inclosed with various weapons inside of it. Chairs, Tables, Ladders, etc, etc. A match so brutal, so fierce, so bloody ! That it has never EVER been thought of or brought up in wrestling history ! Until Tonight !!!

The only way you can win a match of this magnitude Vegas is by making your opponent Submit or by climbing out of the Cage. That is the only way out of this match for you Vegas. So what'll be my fellow "King" ? Are you afaid Vegas ?? Because I'm most certainly NOT afraid of you !

Thats my proposal to you Vegas. Me & You here tonight in this very ring locked inside a Steel Cage filled with weapons all around the ring ! So punk, come on out & accept my challenge if you have the balls to do it ! Or is it your little lady that does all of your fighting ?

Announcer #1 - My God ! That is a first for APW. Genesis vs King Vegas in a.....in a.....DUNGEON MATCH !

Announcer #2 - That is just unreal ! King Vegas is going to get what he deserves tonight !! Oh, Oh, I can't wait !!!

Announcer #1 - Vegas is a consument performer. I wouldn't count him out against Genesis. Genesis may be an impressive athlete but Vegas won't go down without a fight !

*As Genesis calmly waits for a response from King Vegas. He begins thinking to himself*

*sighs* My leg is still in a lot of pain. I just haven't been able to shake it. My right kneecap is just throbbing ! I hope I can be at 110% come match time. If not....I guess I'll have to take "a few more" before I come back out here. I just.....I just can't bare the pain. I'm not sure how much longer I can through with this.

The lighter intro of "Broken Sunday" blesses the ears of the APW hopeful, male, female, boy, girl alike... saving each and every one of them from the waste of ratings that is in the FAM'S ring. Pumping his fist into the air, the artist formerly known as PornStar makes his entrance, already dressed in his ring attire as he stops on the stage, cold stare at Genesis in the middle of the ring ensues. Immediately he takes off his jacket, tossing it aside, pulling out the microphone from his pants pocket, looking about to the signs in the crowd.

"Lvl 75 pwnt!" "Roast his ass BUCK JASON!" "KILL THE VIRGINS!"

All obviously directed at him... the blooming icon that seemingly has now finally decided to put his career first.

"Ladies and gentlemen... I give you... yet another in the mass pool of Kings that this sport has that have all named themselves! BOW DOWN BITCHES!!!"

Already the crowd laughs at the first shot... Jason doesn't seem content with that one...

Genesis - So this is how its going to be huh ? APW sends out a jackass to answer my challenge. Tell you what, screw the match idea I had for Vegas. I wanna beat you Jason single handily in the center of this ring in a singles match kid.

Seems as the "Artist Formely known as Pornstar" wants to show off as usual. And fill the minds of these fans with those stupid little wise cracks. Which is fine, because thats exactly what I expect from a jailhouse bitch like yourself. Fact is Jason. Thats the only way you could ever succeed in this business is by being a JACKASS !

I'm going pretend like this is all one big joke from APW to Genesis. And let me tell you this is not at the least bit even close to being HILARIOUS ! If this is what APW thinks of Genesis. Then you know what, fine ! I could care less.

Genesis tosses the microphone towards Jason nd leaves the ring, very bitter and distraught. As he reaches the backstage area

***Backstage***

Genesis walks down the hallway backstage and goes to his locker room and slams the door behind him. Inside, Genesis rams his fist through the mirror. Shattering the mirror into small pieces. Genesis then picks bag nearby and tosses across the room. After he calms down and regains his composure somewhat. He sits down in a nearby chair and looks up at the ceiling and starts talking:

Genesis - I've had it....I've FUCKING had it ! I'm a huge superstar for god sakes. I don't deserve any of this. I....I bust my ass each week just to make ends meet and to make it in APW and this is what I get in return ? I often wonder if its really worth it. Heck I might as well just go back out and lay down on the mat so Jason could get the 1,2,3 if thats what going to be expected of me from them. Each week its always something ya know god. I really don't know what to do anymore...

Genesis gets up from his chair and exits his locker room. Then heads down the hallway towards the EXIT door. A nearby security guard asks:

Security Guard - Hey Mr. Genesis, what are you going ?

Genesis - Out ! I'll be out for just a few minutes. I just need to get some air. Don't worry, I'll be in just in time for my match with Jason later.

Security Guard - Alright thats fine.

Genesis opens the EXIT Door and enters the parking lot area.

***Parking Lot***

Genesis paces around out back until a man dressed in all black wearing a hoodie and black sunglasses walks over to him:

Man: Hello....Genesis ??

Genesis - Yeah ??

Man: Um...I have an order for you sir. Somebody told me that you wanted a few bottles of these ?

*The man hands Genesis 2 bottles full of painkillers and other medication*

Genesis - Ohhhh, yeah I remember now. Sorry, I....just haven't been able to think straight recently. Alot on my mind and my body has just been killing me. I'm getting older and my body just can't take as many bumps as I used to. So how much do I owe you ?

Man: Oh a couple hundred ?

Genesis - A COUPLE HUNDRED !!!

Man: Yeah man just for picking these up and delivering them to you. So Genny my boy, do you want these or not ?

*Genesis thinks to himself*

I can't believe I'm this desperate. But.....I need these pills. I can't go on wrestling without these. My body just can't survive without them. Plus I know I'll be in for a helluva fight with Jason tonight. He's one tough guy. So I guess I better pay the guy anyway...

*Genesis says to the man*

Genesis - Alright man, even though I feel this is a bit steep. I'm going to go ahead & give you the money for these. two hundred dollars right ?

Man: Yeah

Genesis reaches into his pocket and pulls two hundred dollars from his wallet and hands it over to the dealer and he receives his pills. The man walks away leaving Genesis alone. From here, Genesis opens one of the bottles and takes a couple of pills before hiding them. He then turns and opens the EXIT door and re-enters the arena.

***Backstage (Again)***

The security guard stops Genesis upon entry and asks:

Security Guard: Hey my brother...are you okay ? You seemed a little stressed earlier ?

*Genesis grins & responses*

Genesis - (laughs) Oh sir....I'm FINE now ! Don't worry about me dude. I'm well taken care of now...

Security Guard smiles back at Genesis & says:

Guard: Alright Genny, I'm just worried about you thats all.

Genesis - HaHa...I know I know. I appreciate your concern but really......I'm.....I'm fine.

Genesis walks away and heads to his dressing room area where he gets dressed into his ring attire and gets prepared for his one-on-one match with Jason Arielle later.

END SCENE
