The bell had rung and blood was flowing from Jennifer's forehead, but for her it wasn't over. Sure the record books would mark this as an official loss. Lauren could have it. This wasn't about the record book, and she was going to get what she wanted.
People came over to try and help Jennifer backstage after she rolled out of the ring, but she shooed and shoved them away. This wasn't the first time she'd seen her blood dripping out like this and she'd put herself through much worse for much stupider reasons on her road to the majors. It felt like she was going back to her roots. Even moreso now that she was looking for a little plunder beneath the ring.

In the shadows was playing through the arena, Lauren had won, not one of her favourite ways to win. Lauren always thought that wrestling didn't have to be barbaric to be entertaining but after Jennifer's recent behavior Lauren couldn't help but feel a little of that sweet satisfaction that some call bloodlust. Lauren had seen Jennifer roll out of the ring, and she continued to celebrate and she climbed the turnbuckle and raised her arms to "her" people as they continued to cheer and chant for her. A small section were chanting Blayze, the ring name that she felt unworthy of a few weeks ago but now was that still the case? Lauren posed for the crowd as cameras flashed and she revelled in the glory...

And just before that became unbearable there was a loud dull thwack at Lauren's back. Jennifer would never let on but she was a huge fan of the classics, like the old steel folding chair she was now assaulting Lauren with. She swung wildly several times at her head and back stopping to wipe blood out of her eye and say things like
Congratulations, Lauren... Good hustle out there... You sure showed me!
After a few more shots it finally seemed to be over. The keyword being seemed. Jennifer lifted her up by her hair to her feet one more time. Jen seemed happy with herself, but not as happy as when was about to be. She puts her chair on Lauren's throat, pulls her up and slams her down on it for a sickening guillotine, meeting with serious disgust and disapproval from everyone present. Of course, no one really “got it”, but who cared about them? She walked backstage feeling like a winner.
