As Dru steps off the plane in Seattle, his phone begins to ring. A text message had been sent to him. It was from his long time agent Lenny Quimby. He flips open his phone to check it and it reads...
1st off congrats on the win 2 weeks ago. Solid stuff as always, BUT...you being you, you've got a target on your head bigger then any champion. I just got a call from someone who went outta there way to keep themselves a secret. Voice morphing and all. Anyways, seems someone want to challenge you at the PPV. I dont know who, or even why. He just said that his client wants to fight you, and BEAT you. Call me when you get settled in up in Seattle.
Lenny
Dru looks confused at his phone briefly. He closes it and continues to baggage claims thinking to himself...
A challenger at the PPV??? And we dont even know who? I dont even wanna think about who it could possibly be. Just what I needed, another distraction. I've gotta keep my mind of facing Dalton, but this stunt is gonna eat at me for sure, I know it.
Dru gathers his luggage and continues on to the airport exit. Hailing for a cab, he makes his way into the city.

As Dru enters his hotel room, he plugs in his lap top to check his email. Fan mail here, appearence request there, but 1 stands out to him. It's from APW management. The brackets for the Title Tournment. Dru's eyes become blackend when he sees his name is nowhere to be found. A smirk crosses his face as he thinks to himself...
Typical.
He reads on the list, and low and behold, many of the names he'd mentioned in canada were on the list, including Cinder. He begins to deduce his 2 week departure as the reason for his not being seeded, but he knows a title tourny cant be held without the only unbeaten man on roster. It'd be outlandish if if did. Still, as peeved as he is from this, It really doesn't bother him as much as it would years ago. As he's proven that championships dont make legends. He'd done that himself. But a 2 year title drought was a little longer then he'd intended. Dru's motive was now clear. He had to show without fail that if there's 1 name that belonged on this list, it was his. He shuts down his laptop and grabs his jacket. Next stop, The Key Arena.
