Heh... the crowd probably questioned every facet of Jon Pryor the night of Battlezone. He wouldn't say a damn thing though... he'd done exactly what he said he was going to do. He is one of the top wrestlers of this generation, his performance cemented that fact, as he had the match won. And yet, strangely, he gave it away on a silver platter.
He knew what he was doing... instilling the false hope within Yoshi Togo... that somehow made him think like he was worth a damn... let him enjoy his hand given moment... his debut to the American fans, who've only seen pictures of him, not the man in action. Hope he enjoys it.
For now, he's working on something much more worthwhile... for a friend of his ex-wife's... possibly a good friend for him as well. Sarah Andrews-Cross had teamed up with a young star named Lindsay Corben, a near rookie. Jon sees this as an oppurtunity to bring forward a fresh face into the limelight, as he sits back in the corner of the practice ring at a local fitness complex, awaiting the arrival of the two women. |

Lindsay entered the complex duffle bag in hand. Wearing her tradtional grey sweats and white hoody. hair pulled back into a pony tail. Her eyes scanned for Mr. Pryor, it was rather hard since she had never met him. But she had heard many things about him the entire time she had been at APW. And from Blaze when that ordeal was going on. She smiled. She felt like she was in a Rocky movie or something, heading to the gym to get that eye of the tiger. that edge she needed to win. Setting down the bag she surveyed the gym. Now to find Mr. Pryor.

He smiles as he remains seated in the corner, recognizing the incredibly cute brunette as she entered the main room. Head resting against the turnbuckle, he studied her for a moment, watching her look around, thinking back to the two matches that he'd seen of hers. This could be real interesting...
"Miss Corben?"
He raises his voice, allowing it to float over towards her, to get her attention as he remains seated. |

Hearing her last name she turns towards were it came from. She sees him. Sitting on the corner next to the turnbuckle. She was expecting him to look rather battle tested, but he seemed rather handsome, at least thats what she could tell from the distance they stood apart. Picking up her bag she made her way to him.
"Mr. Pryor i presume?"

Lindsay sets the bag down and climbs into the ring. Feeling the ropes as she climbs in a sense of belonging overwhelms her. This was her calling. The place she belonged. In the ring. Lindsay looked back at Mr. Pryor and flashed him a smile.
" You coming?"
She said as she took the ropes from him, and held them for him to enter.

He nods, stepping through the ropes, sizing her up as he does. Strangely, he still wears his kick pads and a spare pair of wrestling boots, loose fitting shorts and a tank top as he paces around Lindsay.

Finally arriving at their scheduled place of meeting, Sarah walks into the complex herself as her duffel bag draped over her left shoulder. Slowly making her way through the door, she notices that Jon and Lindsay had already begun their "lesson" so to speak. She was still realing a bit from the effects of her and Lindsay's tag match a few days before. She seemed to go un-noticed for the first moments as she made her way to a nearby bench, dropping the bag to the floor and taking her seat as she watched on in anticipation. |

"I see... but I can definately give you some pointers on how to handle yourself better..."
He nods a bit, noticing her constant enthusiasm...
"Tell me, Lindsay... how was your past? Feel free to spill it, I'm not here to judge... I'm just curious."
He seems to be looking for that one breaking point, to which he could snag some aggression to overthrow the enthusiastic demeanor of Miss Corben, when she's in the ring at least... |

Lindsays smile dropped at the mention of her past.
" Eh there isnt much to say, it was pretty uneventful until Blaze came along."
Lindsay let out a sigh before continuing.
" When he came along life was great...for a few months then he got violent and would beat me...then i found out after we had been living together or a while that he still had a wife, when i confronted him about it, he beat me and left..."
Lindsay took in a deep breath.
" We have a 9 month old child now...which he just found out about a few weeks ago...and now he has her as well..."
She didn't know why she was telling him all this. most guys ran away and never wanted to talk to her again or help her after finding out she had "baggage".

Lindsay paused.
" Show you? like...on you?"
Lindsay paused again...closing her eyes she began to think about Blaze and all he had done to her.
Letting out a cry she unleashed on Pryor, first flying at him with a left handed punch then a right, and another left. He easily dodged out of the way of them all. Lifting her left leg she threw a kick to the side of his knee which seemed to have no effect on him. So she tried again and again before moving back to punches.
Lindsay began to calm a bit but just enough to survey Pryor skill looking for an opening. She launched out again trying to hurt him like she wanted to hurt Blaze, anger boiled inside her. Letting out another cry she reached out and grabbed Pryors throat, he was caught off guard only momentarily. As quickly as she had grabbed his throat he had snapped her arms down sending her to the mat.
Quickly she climbed back to her feet. Wiping the sweat from her forehead she looked at Pryor.
" I'm sorry if i...yeah...."
She didn't mean to go crazy, but it felt good to get that out of her. She never realized how much of a nerve just thinking of Blaze could hit.

"It's what I want... but somehow I'm not convinced..."
He smirks as she gets an angered look in her face, charging at him, he easily takes her down, across his knee, unleasing a thunderous SLAP to her ass. She scurries off of his knee, looking back at him with a shocked look on his face...
"Come on... I know you can do this... pure aggressions the best weapon in the ring... Now... SHOW ME.... or do I gotta go put on fifty pounds of makeup to make it more believable?"
He readies up again, for hopefully a brutal comeback by Miss Corben... |

Fine he wanted angery she would show him anger. She once again flies at him punches blazing. Sweat begins to poor from her face mixed with the start of tears. Pryor still dodges out of the way of all of her attacks, but the pace was much faster then her last attempt. Stepping back she surveyed him again. Spiriting the short distance towards him she tried to drop kick, but he easily side stepped. Devious smirk apparent Lindsay tripped Pryor up, kicking him in the back of his knee, before he had a chance to recover she lept behind him throwing an arm around his neck and grabbing her own bicep implanting the rear naked choke hold.

Sarah watched on at the little "spectacle" between Lindsay and Jon in the ring. She thought to herself that Jon might not want to pull out that aggression associated with Blaze from Lindsay. She for one knew that there was always a chance at snapping when that name came up. But before she knew it, Lindsay had somehow taken down the more experienced Pryor, bringing a smile to both her face as well as hers. She thought to herself...

From high up in the rafters of this local fitness center sits the man known as Blaze. Still keeping an ever so watchful eye on Lindsay. And for the time being, an even closer eye on Pryor. He had seen that slap to the ass, his face turning a crimson red as he watched on...
"Damn him.....Pyro....Or...Should I say Pryor now....He has been a pain in the ass for quite some time...Ever since my first encounter with him down in the bingo hall I've hated his guts...Theres something about that guy I just can't stand..."
The voice rings throughout his head. Causing an immediate headache and almost causing him to lose his balance up on the rafters...
"That there my boy is called jealousy...You've been jealous of Pryor since the day you met him...And now he's about to steal Lindsay away from you forever...and although you may be at the top of the ladder here in APW...Your title can't help you to stop him one damn bit..."
Blaze tries to block out the voice, but to no avail. It embedded itself inside his head and forced him to listen. And perhaps, for once, it was somewhat correct...
"Whatever....Pryor ain't got nothing on me...Never has, never will....He's just a flame that burnt out a long time ago....He's nothing but mere ashes now...."
Blaze rests his back against one of the beams supporting the building as he continues to watch. How he only wishes he could just jump down there and kick Pryors ass and get Lindsay away from him. But for now, there was nothing he could do. He just hoped this wouldn't escalate into another Cash fiasco... |

Jon rolls forward, grasping the arm of Lindsay... the ass slap probably did it... Fighting to keep his knees to the mat, he works his arm down, making sure that she can't sink in the "hooks" into the rear naked choke, her legs fighting for position as his much stronger arm keeps it out, fighting to get to his feet. He leans back, feeling pressure tighten around his neck as he snaps forward, Lindsay losing her grip falls to the ground in front of him as he places a hand down on her collar, sighing, breathing heavily...

it was hard to miss how glad she was to recieve a compliment from Mr. Pryor. Just noticing Sarah, Lindsay gave her a quick smile.
" Whats next Mr. Pryor?"
